‘Improvising A Cure’ returns April 24

The Benjamin Logan Instrumental Music Department hosts their 12th annual benefit concert, “Improvising A Cure” Thursday, April 24, during Jazz Appreciation Month. 

The public is invited to attend. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. in the high school commons, with music by the BLHS Jazz Combo starting at 5:45 p.m. 

There is no cost to attend this event, but donations are appreciated. All proceeds will be donated to the Logan County Cancer Society.

“I know the members of the jazz ensemble would love to see you there,” Band Director Myles Bowers said. “This event is truly one of highlights of the year for our Music Department. Special thanks to freshman Tony Tambaro for designing our poster and logo this year.”

Improvising A Cure will feature the high school and middle school jazz ensembles and combos, along with a silent auction of student artwork, bake sale, 50/50 drawing and a barbecue themed dinner. 

The dinner menu includes barbecue pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, cheesy potatoes and coleslaw.
