Launched in 2004, The Supervisors Training and Education Program (STEP), is a foundational leadership development course designed specifically for newly promoted law enforcement supervisors. Recognizing the challenges of transitioning from officer to supervisor, STEP provides practical, real-world training to help leaders navigate their critical roles effectively. Led by subject matter experts and structured around 19 intensive modules, STEP delivers relevant, scenario-based education that prepares first line supervisors to lead with confidence and competence. Since its inception, more than 1,000 supervisors across Ohio have completed the program. (SUBMITTED PHOTO)
