Man lodged for weapons while intoxicated

Aaron Myers, 30, of Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence and using weapons while intoxicated during an incident Friday, May 16. 

Officers of the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched about 8:50 p.m. to the 11900 block of County Road 87 in reference to a domestic dispute.

The victim called 911 and stated that her live-in boyfriend, Myers, held a shotgun to her face during a domestic dispute. The victim was able to escape the residence and call for help from a neighbor’s residence. 

Once on scene, officers made contact with Myers via telephone and ordered him out of the residence. The defendant was taken into custody without incident. 

Officers observed Myers to be heavily intoxicated. He admitted to arguing with the victim throughout the day as well as consuming alcohol. He denied holding a shotgun to the victim’s face. 

Officers seized a shotgun and assault rifle from the residence. 

Myers was lodged in the Logan County Jail. 

• Carl Lament, 77, of Lewistown, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Friday. 

Officers were dispatched about 2:20 p.m. to the 6000 block of north State Route 235 in reference to a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers met with the victim and learned that the suspect had left the residence. The victim stated that her husband, Lament, had shoved her, causing injuries. 

When the victim went to call 911, Lament reportedly disconnected the phone line to prevent her from calling for help.

A short time later, the defendant was located by the Russells Point Police Department. He was taken into custody and was lodged in the jail.
