Students in all grade levels of Ridgemont Local Schools helped to celebrate senior citizens in the community and thank them for their support throughout the year Thursday, Dec. 7, during the annual senior citizen holiday luncheon. Girls basketball team member Maddie Gossard, left, serves meals catered by the Plaza Inn to Mike and Lynn Boyle of Kenton, to her right, while the couple enjoys catching up with friends. Mike was a bus driver for Ridgemont for about 10 years. Seated across from him (in the blue sweater) is former Transportation Supervisor Connie Reel of Mt. Victory, who recently retired from her position and was also a school bus driver for the district for 29 years. Her mother Donna Newman, age 94, seated to the left of Reel, has enjoyed coming to the luncheons for the past 10 years since she moved in with her daughter. Attendees also enjoyed Christmas caroling by preschoolers and second- and third-graders, along with music provided by the symphonic and jazz band and Company R show choir.
