Lakers fall to Versailles in boys hoops

Indian Lake lost to Versailles 65-39 at home Monday in a non conference boys basketball game.

The Lakers are now 3-3 for the year.

Madden Lillard had 11 points and Avery Pequignot scored nine for the Lakers.

Versailles took a 17-8 lead in the first period, then outscored the Lakers 14-12 in the second for a 31-20 halftime lead.

The Tigers put up similar numbers in the third and fourth, while holding Indian Lake to 12 in the third and seven in the fourth.

Versailles also won the JV contest 48-37. Braden Tussing had 12 points for Indian Lake.

Indian Lake (2-0 CBC, 3-3 overall) will resume play on Jan. 3 with a game at Benjamin Logan. The girls varsity will play at 6, followed by the boys at about 7:30 p.m.
