Eight Bellefontaine High School students participated in the recent DECA State Competition in Columbus, and a BHS senior won a state title in the Business Growth Plan event.
Zach Horvath received first place with his LLC Horvath Productions. With his top finish, he qualified for the national competition that will take place in Orlando, Fla., from April 22-25.
The duo of Marco Martinez and Alex Miller finished seventh in the state in the Sports & Entertainment Team Decision Making event.
Seniors Keagon Overton-Story, Lily Palmer, and Maddie Williams will represent BHS at the Ignite Leadership Academy in Orlando. This coincides with the national competition.
Horvath, Overton-Story, Palmer, and Williams need to raise funds for their trip to Florida. The total cost for the students to attend will be approximately $7,500.
