Bellefontaine’s girls basketball team fell behind early and could not recover en route to a 66-55 loss to visiting Tecumseh in a Central Buckeye Conference game Wednesday night.
The Chiefs are now 11-8 overall and 2-4 in the CBC. The Arrows improve to 14-4, 6-0.
Bellefontaine trailed by eight points (19-11) after the first quarter and the Chiefs found themselves down by 12 points (38-26) at halftime.
It was a 10-point cushion for the Arrows (48-38) after three quarters.
Lexi Robinson led the Chiefs with 20 points. Alexza Clifton had 16 points and Tiffany Boop added 12 points.
Gabrielle Russell scored a game-high 21 points to lead Tecumseh.
In the junior varsity game, Bellefontaine lost 38-21. Gabbe Hoon led the Chiefs with 11 points.
Bellefontaine is back in action next Wednesday at Jonathan Alder.
