S’mores, pistachio are winning flavors at ice cream freeze-off

The 2023 Logan County Fair ice cream freeze-off, which followed the chili cook-off on Saturday, July 15, featured a mother and daughter who proved their family knows how to make the favorite cold treat. Joan Skidmore, left, snagged Reserve Best of Show with her pistachio ice cream, which placed first in the nut category.
