Benjamin Logan junior Isabel Henderson will compete at the Division II state meet in two events today after she qualified in the finals of the 200-meter run Friday at Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus.

Henderson, who was a state placer for the Raiders last year in the high jump, grabbed the final qualifying spot in the prelims of the 200 with a time of 25.64.

The top two finishers in each preliminary heat, plus the next five best times, qualified for today’s finals.

Henderson will run in the 200 finals at 2:40 p.m. She will also compete in the Division II long jump competition at 9:30 a.m. this morning.

Lakers’ Richardson unable to move on

Senior Elayna Richardson represented Indian Lake here Friday as she competed in the prelims of the 400-meter dash.

Richardson was unable to get through to today’s finals as she finished in 13th with a time of 59.58.

Despite not advancing to the finals, getting to the state meet was a fitting end for a stellar prep career at Indian Lake for Richardson.
