Tyler J. Sullivan, 23, of 4886 Township Road 56, Huntsville, was charged with disrupting public services, domestic violence, resisting arrest, criminal damaging and possession of drug paraphernalia related to an incident Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to his address about 3:50 p.m. in reference to a domestic complaint.
His mother reported that Sullivan had assaulted his father. While en route, dispatchers could hear screaming in the background of the phone call, and later learned that his mother’s phone had been smashed by Sullivan.
While deputies arrived, the spoke with Sullivan’s mother and observed her cell phone with a severely cracked screen. Sullivan was located at a bedroom at the home and he was informed that he was under arrest.
However, deputies said a struggle ensued with the defendant in the hallway of the home. One of the deputy’s glasses were broken during the physical struggle, and the deputy’s arm was scratched as well.
Sullivan was escorted to a cruiser, where he reportedly purposely struck his head/face on the cruisers. He was transported to the Logan County Jail without further incident.
Driver charged with possession of hashish
Calvin L. Board, 35, of LaRue, was charged with possession of hashish and possession of drug abuse instruments related to a traffic stop Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Deputies on patrol in the area of State Route 117 near State Route 273 about 5:10 p.m. observed a speed violation with his vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
While speaking with the driver, deputies observed that he appeared unusually nervous.
Deputies found that he had multiple driver’s license suspensions. He agreed to a consent search of the vehicle.
During the search of the vehicle, deputies recovered nine bags of THC marijuana gummies, along with a glass pipe with burnt residue. Board stated that he bought the THC gummies in Michigan.
Deputies also located two cell phones in the center console, and two additional cell phones in another compartment of the vehicle. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the jail.
