Bellefontaine Intermediate third-graders recently spent their Wednesday mornings exploring a variety of local trades through the Tradesters TEAM program
Participants were given the opportunity to learn about trades through projects, simulations and discussions.

The group completed a culminating project made possible with Logan County Education Foundation grant funds.

For this effort, students built and painted bird and butterfly homes to be donated to a local assisted living community.

The Tradesters Team is led by third-grade math and science teachers Galen Miller and Andy Crabill.

Students began their exploration of local trades by learning about manufacturing through a shoe factory simulation.

Some of the many trades explored during the sessions included electrician, construction, computer-aided design, coding and painting.
