Benjamin Logan Schools announces that Tony Tambaro, a talented artist from the Class of 2028, has been recognized in the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition for his outstanding creativity and dedication to the arts.
Tony submitted several original works, created on his own time, and received recognition for the following:
• “Fantasmi” – Gold Key Award (24 x 18 inches, acrylic paints and watercolors);
• “City of Life” – Silver Key Award (14 x 11 inches, acrylic paints);
• “Abducted” – Honorable Mention (16 x 20 inches, watercolor and acrylic paints); and
• “Speed of Sound” – Honorable Mention (18 x 24 inches, acrylic paints).
“Tony is truly gifted,” Jennifer Davis, Tony’s art teacher shared. “He has a remarkable ability to bring his imagination to life on the canvas.
“These are artworks that Tony made on his own time. We shared them with his class. Join us in congratulating Tony on his well-deserved success. He makes Benjamin Logan Schools proud.”
Tony’s award-winning works will be displayed at the K12 Gallery & TEJAS, located at 341 S. Jefferson St., Dayton, OH 45402. The exhibition will run from Jan. 20 to Feb. 21, showcasing the talents of young artists across the region.
The Scholastic Award Ceremony will take place at the gallery on Feb. 21, with a preview starting at 4:30 p.m. and the awards ceremony beginning at 5 p.m.
