Rhonda S. Brown, 57, of rural Bellefontaine, is facing several charges following a traffic stop by the Bellefontaine Police Department just after midnight Sunday, Nov. 23.
Officers report that at 12:18 a.m, they observed Brown driving westbound on Sandusky Avenue, west of the Garfield Avenue intersection. Brown reportedly crossed the double yellow line on Sandusky Avenue and failed to stop for a red light at School Street
Police initiated a traffic stop and observed that Brown displayed signs of intoxication. She admitted to have been drinking and consented to and failed field sobriety tests at the scene at which time she was arrested on the charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to drive in marked lanes and a stop light violation.
Brown did not give a breathalyzer sample once taken to the Bellefontaine Police Department and was later released to a sober driver.
• Officers also report the arrest of Marquell M. Stevens, 25, at large, on a failure to appear warrant at 4:47 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24.
