Richard “Dick” Lee Harmon, 82, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Springfield, Ohio on February 11, 1940, the son of the late Rev. Ralph L. and Maxine Harmon.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Nancy Harmon on July 26, 2018. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Debra Brown and a brother, James Harmon.

He is survived by his former wife, Lois Harmon and their three daughters, Vickie (Mike) Crumley, Karen (Keith) Jordan, and Trisha (Jeff) Wyatt.  He is also survived by his stepchildren, Bonnie Linville, Greg (Linda) Linville and David Linville, a sister, Jacqueline (Jim) Markin, a brother, Mark Harmon, seven grandchildren: Colin (Alyssa) Byler, Kayla Byler, Tara (Kyle) Ippolito, Mike (Julia) Marotti, Ally (Dan Conway) Marotti, Taylor Linville, and Connor Linville.

Dick was a jack of all trades – never truly retiring.  He was always available when someone needed a hand.  He was an active community volunteer, a former township trustee, and real estate agent.  He loved to travel and had many interesting stories to tell.  He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and contagious laugh.  Dick had a love for building and drawing up plans.  His career was spent in the lumber business as he worked for PK Lumber, and managed Carter Lumber, as well as Ohio Lumber.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Rutan Hospital Foundation, 205 Palmer Avenue, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311 or to the Holland Theatre, P.O. Box 524, 127 E. Columbus Avenue, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
