Dozens of children and parents crowded into the Goodrich community room at the Knowlton Library on Thursday, April 17, for a special presentation from the Herps Alive Foundation out of the Cleveland area. The foundation’s executive director, Keith Gisser, gave kids of all ages a hands-on experience with rescued amphibians and reptiles. Here, he lets some children hold Persephone, an amelanistic (albino) Burmese python. (EXAMINER PHOTO | SHARYN KOPF)
