Merry B. Henry, 66, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on December 23, 1957.
On October 13, 1990, she married Richard “Rick” Henry, and he survives in Bellefontaine. She is also survived by her mother, Betty (Fry) Dowell; children: John (Ashley) Henry and Richard “Richie” (Carmillia Lopez) Henry II; and her grandchildren: Xavier, Makayla, Elijah, and Serenity.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Sr. and Dora Fry and her dogs she loved dearly: Gizzy and Skynyrd.
Merry was a graduate of Riverside High School then served in the United States Navy from 1984 to 1988. She was a member of the New Carlisle Church of Christ and enjoyed putting puzzles together. Merry and her mother, Betty spent a lot of time together and had a special bond. She also enjoyed listening to music, especially The Beatles and Bon Jovi.
Jeremy Miller will officiate a memorial service at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff. Visitation will be two hours prior from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
