Lori Ann Arledge, 59, of Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for aggravated menacing around 8:45 p.m., Monday, April 24, for causing a disturbance outside a residence in the 500 block of Brookwood Drive.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to that area on a report of a woman banging on the front door of a residence, calling the victim a “parasite” and threatening to kill her. A neighboring witness also told police the suspect drove her vehicle up and down the street honking the horn and yelling.
Arledge claimed she’d come over to “civilly” discuss a family matter, but officers were shown video of her yelling from the street and making threats.
Teenager lodged for attempting to pass a bad check
A teenager was arrested and charged with trying to pass a bad check shortly after 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, after separate bank branches reported he was attempting to pass a counterfeit check worth nearly $2,000.
Officers were dispatched to the Richwood Bank at 120 E. Sandusky Ave. and were told Issiah Leblanc, 18, had attempted to cash a check in the amount of $1,995.56 from the Ohio Title Co. Police caught up with the suspect as he attempted to leave the bank property. Leblanc initially sought to evade officers, reportedly nearly being struck by a motorist as he crossed Sandusky Avenue, but he was eventually detained by police.
Further investigation revealed that Leblanc had attempted to cash a separate counterfeit check at the Richwood Bank branch in Huntsville about 20 minutes prior to his stop at the Bellefontaine location. The checks reportedly were obviously fake because the border was a different color than authentic checks.
He was charged with counterfeiting and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
