Loren L. Kipker, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away peacefully Friday December 15, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 5, 1945, in Kenton, Ohio, the son of the late Huitt and Frances (Skidmore) Kipker.

Loren retired from the State of Ohio Survey Engineering Division District 7 with 25 years of service, and also retired from TRC with 12 years. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran serving from 1965 – 1967 and a member of the First Lutheran Church of Bellefontaine.

Loren was a humble and caring person, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed attending his grand children’s events. He was a 4H adviser and a member of the Rabbit committee with over 25 years of service. Loren was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Gloria (Ammon) Kipker; son Matthew (Vicki) Kipker; daughter Misty Kipker; grandchildren Morgan, Maleah and Maycee; brother David (Denise) Kipker; sister Sharon (Terry) Thompson; sister –in-laws Nancy Kipker and Sharon Kipker; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Roger and Gary Kipker; his sister-in-law Dixie Jerviss.

UPDATE for services: Rescheduled for noon Tuesday, Dec 26, at the First Lutheran Church Bellefontaine. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service .

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the First Lutheran Church or St Jude’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements are in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory.
