Larry D. Neal, 67, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Quincy, passed away Thursday morning, April 3, 2025, at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.
Larry was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on July 13, 1957, to Doris E. (Hoffman) Neal and the late Charles Ellis Neal. He was also preceded in death by a sister Tina Gressner, and a brother Allen Neal.
Larry is survived by his mother, Doris Neal; daughter, Holly Cooper; 5 grandchildren: Triston and Tina Cooper, Aleah and Dakotah Lewis, and Aubrey Kabria; a sister, Diana Sherrick; brothers: Ed (Linda) Neal, and Jerry Neal; and several nieces and nephews.
Larry worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years. He loved being outside, whether it be hunting mushrooms, canoeing, fishing, cooking on the grill, smoking meat, or camping and sitting around the campfire.
Pastor Matt Sandlin will officiate Larry’s graveside service on Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at Huntsville Cemetery.
