Joyce Baughman, 80 of St. Paris, Ohio, passed away, Monday, April 17, 2023 in Cleveland Clinic.
She was born on July 31, 1942 in Madison County, Ohio to the late Harry and Elverna (Thiergartner) Nicol.
Joyce enjoyed farming with her dad in her youth and farmed side-by-side with Cliff on their farm. She showed steers while a member of 4H. She was a member of the Farm Bureau. She was baptized, confirmed, and married in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Chuckery. Immediately following their marriage, Joyce & Cliff were in Guam teaching for two years. She enjoyed travelling with Cliff.
She was a quiet private person but would do anything she could to help others.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clifford Baughman, brother, Mark (Connie) Nicol, sisters, Carol Tillman and Jane Nicol, sister-in-law Debbie Nicol and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, David Nicol, brother-in-law, Dick Tillman, niece Janel Nicol, nephew Jamie Nicol and stepmother Alice Nicol.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. in the ATKINS, SHIVELY & VERNON Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St, St Paris, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Reverend Ray Branstetter officiating.
Memorial donations can be made to Graham Athletic Boosters, PO BOX 33, St Paris, Ohio.
Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
