Officers, deputies and troopers from the Bellefontaine Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Russells Point Police Department and West Liberty Police Department, and a mischievous Dr. Seuss character The Grinch participate in the annual Fraternal Order of Police Hi Point Lodge 60’s Shop with Kids event at Walmart of Bellefontaine Saturday morning, Dec. 14. The annual event elicited smiles and cheer among the children participants and their law enforcement shopping helpers, who enjoyed finding the perfect presents on the children’s lists. The Fraternal Order of Police Hi-Point Lodge 60 expressed appreciation to everyone who helped make this event possible, “especially the great staff at Walmart.” In addition to Saturday’s event, a fundraiser for the Shop with Kids program is taking place throughout the month of December at the Logan County Fairgrounds, a Hometown Hero Nights of Lights holiday light display presented by the FOP Hi-Point Lodge 60. The mile-long display continues every weekend in December on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Entry into the light display is $10. (FOP Hi-Point Lodge Photo)
