City man arrested in shooting death of his wife

A Bellefontaine man has been booked into the Logan County Jail on a charge of murder Tuesday evening, March 18, after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to a shooting at his residence Tuesday afternoon.

Kenton E. Quint, 66, was taken into custody after officers found his wife, Wanda K. Quint, 68, deceased at their residence, 322 Clagg St., Bellefontaine.

At 4:38 p.m., officers responded to the couple’s residence after dispatchers received a 911 emergency call regarding a shooting that had occurred there.

Upon the arrival of officers, they reportedly found a female victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The woman was deceased and she was identified as Wanda K. Quint, Police Chief Chris Marlow reported in a press release Tuesday evening.

The scene was secured at that time and detectives worked to determine what had occurred leading up to the death. The detectives’ investigation led to Kenton’s arrest and he was booked into the jail at 6:35 p.m.

The investigation into this matter continues.

The Bellefontaine Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service as well as the Logan
County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
