Area athletes competed Saturday at the district track meet for the right to continue on to regionals.
The Division II meet was held at Piqua with the field including Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, the Bellefontaine girls and the West Liberty-Salem boys.
In the Division III meet at Graham were the West Liberty-Salem girls, and boys and girls from Riverside and Calvary Christian.
DIVISION II
GIRLS
In the team standings, the Lady Chieftains finished first with 110 points to claim the title for the third straight year.
Ben Logan was third (75), while Indian Lake was 10th with 37.
For Bellefontaine, senior Kylie Adams set a district record to win the long jump at 18 feet, 10 1/4 inches. The previous mark was set in 1983 by Catholic Central’s Marry Quisenberry at 18-8 3/4.
Adams won the 100 meter hurdles (15.12), and Callie Shumaker was third (15.64). In the 300 hurdles, it was Shumaker first (45.94) and Adams second (48.34).
Kelsie Snapp had a throw of 132 feet even to win the discus.
Grace Brown took second in the 1600 (5:17.89) and 3200 (11:29.10), with Shumaker taking second in the 200 (27.29). Also second was the 4×100 team of Jillian Ullom, Adams, Shumaker and Shawna Burnell (50.60).
Ullom was sixth in the 400 dash (1:04.03). In the 800, Kaeleigh Flora was seventh (2:28.92) and Hannah Wilson ninth (2:40.78). Cece Reier was 11th in the 3200 (13:51.41) and the 4×400 team of Ullom, Kailynn Newman, Brown and Flora was seventh (5:06.41).
In the field events, Flora was eighth in pole vault (8-6); Naomi Washburn was 12th in discus (79-8) and Burnell 17th in long jump (12-7 3/4).

BEN LOGAN
For Ben Logan, Abby Vance got the district title in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.58. Scarlett Elliott was fourth (27.72).
In the pole vault, Scarlett Elliott took second at 10 feet, 6 inches, and Penelope Elliott was fourth (9-0).
The 4×200 team of Ella Chamberlin, Ella Stoodt, Scarlett Elliott and Vance took second (1:48.24).
Earning fourth and a spot at regionals were Vance in long jump (16-8 1/2); Kyla Godwin in discus (101-9); Kate Gulick in 100 hurdles (16.53) and Vance in the 100 dash (13.20). Gulick was also third in the 300 hurdles (49.12).
The 4×100 team of Nahla Payne, Stoodt, Aleah France and Storm LeVan was sixth (53.59). Ella Chamberlin took eighth in the 300 hurdles (52.82); Mollie Siefring was 13th (6:33.68) and Lucy Johns 14th (6:37.48) in the 1600; Estella Wenger 15th (2:51.10) and Nora Elliott 17th (2:51.94) in the 800; Gwen Smith was ninth in the 3200 (13:30.23).
In field events, Kaylee Hays was sixth in discus (95-6) and LeVan ninth in long jump (15-3/4).

INDIAN LAKE
Maddie Miller was second in the discus, with a throw of 122 feet, 3 inches, breaking her own school record.
Reagan Rash was fourth in the 800 meter run (2:23.75).
Ava Faler was fifth (15-8 1/4) in long jump, while Addison Beck finished sixth in both the 100 dash (13.51) and long jump (15-4 1/4).
The 4×200 team of Piper Warnecke, Cameron Finfrock, Rash and Beck was seventh (1:52.39). Evie Wagner was ninth in the 1600 run (6:09.93); Faler ninth in pole vault (8-0); Haley Metzger was 14th (14:36.40) and Kayleigh Taylor 16th (15:51.86) in the 3200; and Cambria Warnecke was 17th in discus (73-1).

BOYS
The West Liberty-Salem boys took home the championship with 131 points. It is the fourth straight title for the Tigers.
Indian Lake was 12th (18) and Ben Logan 13th (16).
The Tigers’ Jackson Steider won the titles in the 110 hurdles (14.43) and 300 hurdles (38.85), setting school records in both events and a district record in the 300.
The 4×100 team of Lincoln Henderson, Bahan, Steider and Kidd crossed the line first (42.95), which is a school and district record.
Asher Cole won the 1600 run, with a time of 4:29.55.
Jack Bahan was second in the 100 dash (11.22), Asher Knox was second in the 3200 (9:44.47), as was the 4×200 team of Troy Bradley, Bahan, Kidd and Henderson (1:30.37).
Claiming third place were Caleb Larson in the 1600 (4:33.51) and 3200 (9:53); Troy Bradley in the 400 (51.18); Taryn Bradley in the 300 hurdles (40.61); Quentin Rudolph in the 800 (1:59.22), and the 4×400 team of Troy Bradley, Jake Lauck, Zeke Longshore and Asher Cole (3:29.19). Troy Bradley was fourth in the 200 dash (23.24)
Taryn Bradley finished fifth in the 110 hurdles (15.61); Kidd was sixth in the 100 dash (11.41); Brayan Gullett was 11th in the 800 (2:04.52); Mark Bair was eighth in the shot put (47-5) and Silas King was 30th (35-1/4) and Casey Boyer was ninth in high jump (5-9).

INDIAN LAKE
The Lakers’ Christopher Timms took second in the shot put at 53 feet, 8 inches. That is a school record, breaking the mark of 51-9 set in 2000 by Jon Shoffstall.
Gavin Henry placed fourth in the 110 hurdles (15.26), and seventh in the 300 hurdles (42.98).
Titus Kelly was 23rd in the 3200 (12:06.51) and Franklin Kinney 22rd in the shot put (39-1 3/4).

BEN LOGAN
Dylan Vance took fifth place in the 200 dash (23.27), and Tyler Shoopman was ninth in the 800 meter run (2:03.39).
The 4×200 team of Collin Powell, Candin Tucker, Dylan Vance and Carter Buck finished seventh (1:33).
The 4×100 team of Powell, Wyatt Predmore, Carter Buck and Everett Clapsaddle was also seventh (44.80).
Eric Hughes was 15th in the 3200 (11:12.83) and Greyson Butler was 24th (12:10.70).
In the field, Jaxon Bowman was 12th (44-5) and Gus Bibart 13th (44-4 1/2) in shot put; and Roman Maxwell was 12th and Ethan Miller 16th in high jump (both at 5-4).

DIVISION III
ST. PARIS — The West Liberty-Salem girls finished third out of the 15 teams with 86 points. Anna was the team champion with 147.
Winning the title was the 4×100 relay team of Tori Douthwaite, Hattie Jacobs, Ella Albers and Chloe Griffith with a time of 51.28 seconds.
The 4×200 team of Douthwaite, Gwen McCullough, Jacobs, and Griffith finished second (1:49.79).
Jacobs was second in the 300 hurdles (48.47) and third in the 100 hurdles (16.46). Arianna Weaver was third in the 800 (2:25.85); Griffith was second in the 100 (12:51) and fourth in the 200 (27.27); and Isla Leichty fourth in the 3200 (12:23.77).
Mariska Smith was fifth in the 1600 run (5:47.19), Douthwaite seventh in the 200 (28.15); Ryrie Matthews 10th in the 800 (2:41.70) and the 4×400 team of Weaver, McCullough, Matthews and Smith was sixth (4:29.53).
In the field events, Elise Longshore was second and Douthwaite third in the pole vault. Both cleared the bar at 10 feet, 6 inches. Weaver was seventh in high jump (4-8); Ella Albers was 11th in long jump (13-11 1/4); while Isabella Hardwick was 11th (85-3) and Lyndee Harrison 17th (68-5) in discus.

The Calvary Christian boys finished eighth with 33 points and the Spartans girls had 12 points and were 12th.
Calvary Christian’s Makarios Kariuki was sixth in both the 100 hurdles (17.87) and 300 hurdles (50.99). Abriley Krabill was 12th in the 1600 (7:27.85) and 17th in the 800 (3:27.32).
For the boys, John Gaertner won the 800 meter run in a time of 2:01.29.
The 4×200 team of Christian Rogan, Ian Wills, Brett Gildow and Nehemiah Dillon finished third (1:36.31) and the 4×400 team of Elias Peterson, Rogan, Xavier Church, and Gaertner was fifth (3:45.17)
Dillon was eighth in the 200 dash (25.02); Peterson was fifth in the 400 (53.68) and Church fifth in the 300 hurdles (44.07).
Alton Tighe was 14th in the 3200 (11:42.58) and Ian Wills was 19th in the 800 (2:37.16).
RIVERSIDE
Travis Brooks took first place in the shot put at 51 feet, 6 inches. Aiden Fout was 14th in the 800 (2:21.73) and Joel Brooks was 15th in shot put (34-2 1/2). The Pirates team finished 10th with 16 points.
For the girls, Kenna Johnson was ninth in the long jump at 14 feet, 1 3/4 inches, and Valerie Knight was 15th (72-1) and Gillian Knight 20th (64-10) in the discus.
