Members of the West Liberty-Salem High School Cheer Team made a special delivery Friday, Jan. 3, to the Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave., providing blankets collected during their recent blanket drive at home basketball games. (WL-S PHOTO)
The church serves as a warming center anytime that temperatures are expected to dip below 20 degrees, offering shelter to 30-40 residents each night. Each resident will receive a warming pack, which includes one of the blankets donated by the community. School officials expressed appreciation to the cheer team and everyone who contributed to this important cause.
