Garold “Gary” “Scrooge” Lee Baughman, 75, of Belle Center, OH passed away Saturday morning, March 29, 2025, with his family by his side.
Garold was born on March 14, 1950, in Belle Center, a son of the late James “Dick” and Betty J. (Leffler) Baughman. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Phyllis Tudor, James “Butch” Baughman, Micheal Baughman, Shirley Ann Blackburn, and Richard U. J. “Cuss” Baughman.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Chance) Coil of DeGraff, OH, three granddaughters, Evelyn, Malorie, and Kinzlee, three brothers, Von (Linda) Baughman, Billy J. (Shelley) Baughman, and Mark Baughman, a sister-in-law, Patty Baughman, and several nieces and nephews.
Gary was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served two tours in Vietnam. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and farmer. Gary was a member of Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39, Indian Lake Eagles Aeries #3615, Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, and Bellefontaine Moose Lodge #2563. He loved being outdoors farming, fishing, hunting and mushrooming.
The Amvets Post #39 Honor Guard will perform military honors at 1:00 pm, Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Amvets Post #39, 110 West Harrison St, Lakeview. A celebration dinner in Gary’s memory will follow at the Post. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Gary’s name to Amvet Post #39 Community Charities.
