Edith Doris Fisher, 90, of Belle Center, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota, on September 8, 1932, to the late William and Lizzie Peters. On June 4, 1958, she married Edwin Fisher, and he survives.
She is also survived by three children: Rodney, Janet, and Norman Fisher; two grandchildren: Ashley and Megan Fisher; six sisters: Rosemary To, Flora Stearns, Alice Peters, Helen Peters, Betty Crippen, and Paulene (John) Staben and numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. A brother, Clayton Peters and two sisters, Mary Ann and Darlene Peters preceded her in death.
Edie was a member of The Kings Daughters, General Federation of Women’s Club, Sew and So Club, Daughters of Eastern Star, Arbor Day Tree City and served as a Deacon and Elder of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 30, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth Street, Belle Center. Pastor Ted Dennis will officiate a funeral service at 4 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the Belle Center Presbyterian Church, 202 Walnut Street Belle Center Ohio 43310. A reception will follow the funeral service at the church. The burial will be Tuesday, May 2, at 10 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
