Donald Lee Stacy, 85, of Lakeview, OH passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at Mary Rutan Hospital Emergency Department, Bellefontaine, OH.

Donald was born on July 12, 1938, in Dayton, OH, a son of the late Brasky and Lottie Profit Stacy. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Stacy.

Don married Nancy Helman on June 18, 1960, in Dayton, and she survives along with their three children, Gregory Lee (Valerie) Stacy of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Karen (Ron) Darrin of Lakeview, and Shawn (Kelsie) Stacy of Cincinnati, eight grandchildren, Sam, Sid, Cassidy, Ben, Joey, Bryce, Charlie, and Becky, seven great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mackayden, Aaliyah, Adam, Asher, Kasey, and Siena, four siblings, his twin, Ronald (Sandra) Stacy of Dayton, Jerrie Baldree of Knoxville, TN, Cathy Bruce of Columbus, OH and Debbie Butrum of Nashville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

Don was a 1958 graduate of Dayton Roosevelt High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam. Don spent his working career in food service for meat producers. He started as a meat cutter, became a manager and later in his career worked in meat sales for various companies. Don was formerly an active member of White Oak Christian Church. He was a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, Meat Cutters Union, and was formerly an active member of Blanchester Seniors. Don enjoyed working in his yard, especially mowing the grass, boating, traveling with family and friends, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given in Don’s memory to Indian Lake Moose Lodge Valued Veterans Program, or Blanchester Seniors.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held from noon – 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Indian Lake Moose Lodge, 11044 Lake St., Lakeview.
