The demolition derby, which is the first and arguably the most popular entertainment event of the Logan County Fair, entertained the crowd Sunday night on the fair’s opening day.

A large crowd turned out to see five classes battle it out for cash prizes.

In the youth compact class, Ricky Harner took the top spot. Issac Elson of Sidney took home the first place money in the windshield class.

The stock minivan, truck and SUV winner was Caleb Reynolds, while Cody Biddle of Mechanicsburg won the street stock compact class.

In the final clash of the evening, Gary Zornes finished in first place in the street stock full size class.

Harness racing will now move into the grandstand area Monday and Tuesday.
