Christel Glauner, 86, of Lewistown, OH, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, OH.
Christel was born on January 27, 1937, in Konigsberg, Ostprousen, Prussia, a daughter of the late Charlotte Stutzki. She first married Wilbur Edwin Henry and later, Daniel Joseph Glauner I. Both preceded her in death.
Christel is survived by her daughter, Terry (Rick) Beck, and her son, Joseph Daniel Glauner II, granddaughter, Brittany (Allen) Hutslar, three granddaughters, Lilly Hutslar Beck, Laney Hutslar Beck, and Lucy Hutslar Beck, a sister, Christa Pfeiler of Hamburg, Germany, a niece, Heike Breitenmoser, and a great nephew, Alexander.
Christel retired in 2004 from Honda of America, working at both Marysville and East Liberty Plants. She enjoyed traveling, walking along the shores of Indian Lake, and especially spending time with her family. What a legacy of strength, resilience, hard work and so much love and selflessness Christel has left for us. She is now off on many more wonderful, glorious adventures with our heavenly father and our many past loved ones.
Even though she is sadly missed at this time, we have the assurance we will be together again, in glory someday.
A celebration of Christel’s life will be Saturday, October 7, at Lewistown-Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from 4 to 6 p.m. with a remembrance service at 4:30 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date in Lewistown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in Christel’s memory to Washington Township Police Department for the purchase of an AED.
