Benjamin Logan High School senior Harry Stratton performs this weekend with the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) All-State Jazz Band at the OMEA Professional Development Conference in Cleveland.

The performance is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in the grand ballroom of the downtown Cleveland Marriott. The event is free and open to the public.

Harry earned his place in the prestigious ensemble through a competitive audition process last spring and was officially accepted in the fall. He will participate in two days of intensive rehearsals before the main event, showcasing his talent as a guitarist.

This year marks a significant milestone, as Harry becomes the sixth student from Benjamin Logan High School to achieve this honor.

“Harry is one of the most hardworking and creative musicians I‘ve had the privilege to teach,” BLHS Band Director Myles Bowers commented. “It’s an honor to witness our students achieving such high levels of recognition.”

The OMEA All-State Jazz Band brings together top high school jazz musicians from across Ohio, providing them a unique platform to perform under the guidance of renowned jazz educators and artists.
