Kohen Schneider, 8, of Quincy, was flown to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries Saturday afternoon, May 10, after his tricycle reportedly was struck by a vehicle in the village.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Chance D. Goedde, 43, of Delphos, was operating a westbound 2017 Chevrolet Traverse about 12:25 p.m. near 107 New St.

Kohen, riding the tricycle, reportedly entered the street from between two parked vehicles and was struck by the sport utility vehicle, deputies said.

The boy sustained a collarbone injury and a possible concussion and was complaining of abdominal pain at the scene, deputies said. He was flown by CareFlight helicopter to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Goede and his two passengers did not report any injuries. No citations were issued.

Damage was light to the SUV and moderate to the tricycle.

Riverside EMS assisted at the scene.
