A St. Paris woman landed in the Logan County Jail on a number of charges Friday, May 9, after she reportedly left her wrecked car parked in the drive-through lane at McDonald’s, 1780 S. Main St., before entering the restaurant and ordering food.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to restaurant about 10:30 p.m. Friday after employees reported that Lilith Dulen, 19, of rural St. Paris, ran her car into the concrete block holding the restaurant’s “thank you” sign, before parking it in the drive-through lane, exiting the car and and entering the building.
Both employees of McDonald’s and officers noted that Dulen appeared to be disoriented.
Dulen reportedly admitted to taking one anti-anxiety medication, but denied other drug or alcohol use.
When officers allowed her to retrieve her identification from her car, they noticed a number of open containers in the vehicle. Dulen had difficulty answering officers’ questions and the odor of alcohol was noted on her breath.
She finally admitted to drinking earlier that evening and failed field sobriety tests. She was placed under arrest and and inventory of the vehicle included a marijuana blunt.
At the Logan County Jail, Dulen submitted to a breathalyzer, revealing a 0.134 blood alcohol concentration, and she also consented to a urine test.
Dulan was charged with OVI, underage consumption, possession of marijuana, failure to control and open container.
