BHS orchestra earns ‘excellent’ at state contest

The Bellefontaine High School Strings Orchestra earned an “excellent” rating at the Ohio Music Education Association State Orchestra competition Saturday, March 1, at Dublin Scioto High School. BHS students performed in Class C with the following pieces: “The Red Gully” by George Sweet, “In Winter” by Vivaldi arranged by Todd Parrish, and “Swashbucklers Saga” by Chris Thomas. Orchestra members Nolan Core, Cooper Hunt, Blaine Mitchell, Belen Abrego, Isabelle Gunnett, Gracie Hood, Adison Postle, Chloe Stolly, Ella Fultz, Lola Kuba, Haley Coleman, Madelaine DeLong, Kaison Furr, Esther Gonzalez Mosquera, Addison Prosser, Matthew Ressler, Bella Welch, Claire Grandstaff, Lilly Hudson, Kate Myers, Ava Dolan, Gillian Steele, Emma Suman, Sophia Millis, Shota Bello, Amari Hunsicker, Noah Smith, Rylee Williams, Ryan Alexander, Nathan Shultz, Raya Millis, Dalton Frazier, Will Myers, Trinity Sassen, Elaina Shultz, Tristyn Wilson, Thane Admire, Sarah Childs, Vanessa Friedrich, Brody Miranda, Emma Childs, Alexandra Priest, Jas Maier, Oliver Grandstaff, Alex Sandoval, Hailey Augustus, Constance Carmen and Joy Fogan.
