Erratic driver charged with OVI

BellefontainePolice Patch-200Hannah Davidson, 21, of Marysville, was arrested and charged with alcohol- and drug-related offenses along with several traffic citations following a 2:33 a.m. traffic stop initiated Sunday, Feb. 12, by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.

Officers on patrol in the area of Columbus Avenue observed a vehicle the suspect was driving back out from one of the angled, on-street parking spaces in the area of the 100 block of west Columbus Avenue and then proceed erratically towards north Main Street.

Police reportedly observed a number of marked lanes violations as the suspect’s vehicle more than once crossed or rode up on the center line before jerking and overcorrecting.
A traffic stop was initiated in the area of north Main Street at Blair Avenue.

Upon making contact with the suspect, officers observed physical signs of impairment.

Davidson consented to a series of field sobriety tests, but was not able to successfully complete them.

A search of her belongings turned up marijuana and related paraphernalia, including two THC vape pens.

She was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, possession of marijuana, and was cited for failure to control and marked lanes violations. She was released to a sober person.
