Sierra B. Brazier, 25, of Jackson Center, was arrested by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department following a traffic stop in the early morning hours of Thursday, Aug. 21.

Officers had been told at the beginning of their shift to be on the lookout of a 2005 Honda Accord with heavy front-end damage as the owner of the vehicle was wanted by her parole officer.

Police spotted the vehicle in the 200 block of north Main Street about 1:04 a.m. Thursday, initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Sierra Brazier, who was not listed as the owner of the vehicle.

Brazier consented to a search of her person and the vehicle. A small baggie containing a crystal-like substance was found on her person as well as what appeared to be a crack pipe, a cut straw and a balled-up piece of foil, which contained a pill and two smaller pill pieces.

The crystal-like substance tested positive for methamphetamine, and the pills in the foil were identified as alprazolam. A search of the vehicle revealed a prescription bottle containing what are believed to be antibiotics.

Brazier was arrested at the scene and transported and lodged in the Logan County Jail, where she was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
