A North Lewisburg woman sustained suspected minor injuries early Thursday morning, Aug. 21, after a two-vehicle crash at State Route 559 and County Road 44 about two miles northwest of the village.
Desiree Clark, 29, was transported by Allen Township Fire & EMS to Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Clark was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe southeast on S.R. 559 about 1:10 a.m. when her vehicle was stuck on the passenger side by a northeast-bound 2022 Honda Civic on C.R. 44 that reportedly failed to stop at the intersection’s stop sign.
After impact, the Tohoe went off the left side of S.R. 559 and struck a utility pole before coming to rest. The Civic traveled off the right side of the road and came to rest in a field.
The Civic’s driver, Blyane Oder, 23, of West Liberty, did not report any injuries. He was cited for a stop sign violation.
Damage to the vehicles was heavy and each was towed from the scene.
