From coding robots to creating custom slime, the 2025 Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA) has transformed Bellefontaine High School into a vibrant hub of discovery and exploration throughout this week.
SEA brings together students entering grades 2 through 8 all around Logan County for a dynamic week of hands-on learning during their summer break. The 21st annual program has taken place beginning Monday, June 9, and concluding Friday, June 13.
With 21 unique classes spanning STEM, art, logic, baking, and beyond, SEA provides an opportunity for students to learn and think creatively outside of the traditional classroom — and to have fun doing it.
Whether dissecting fish, programming VEX robots, or experimenting with balloon-powered chemistry, students are exploring real-world concepts in engaging and meaningful ways.

Throughout the week, classrooms have come alive with:
• Science labs where young learners dove into dissection, chemical reactions, and polymer creation.
• Art stations where students upcycled vinyl records and created colorful designs with spray paint.
• Robotics builds where collaboration and engineering go hand in hand.
• Logic and game theory, challenging students with puzzles and strategic thinking.
• Creative workshops like slime-making, baking and hands-on construction.

Photos from the week captured bright smiles, focused teamwork and boundless creativity as students from various school districts worked together in a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere.
SEA is powered by passionate educators. This incredible learning experience wouldn’t be possible without the commitment and talent of teachers, support staff and community partners.
Organizers expressed a special thank-you to: All of the SEA classroom teachers who led creative, high-energy sessions; our behind-the-scenes coordinators and volunteers, who ensured a smooth and exciting experience for students; school leaders and building staff at Bellefontaine High School, for hosting the event; and community partners who provided materials, support, and encouragement throughout the week.
“Their dedication and teamwork brought SEA to life, making it a highlight of the summer for participating families and students alike,” organizers said.
