Santa Claus, his elves and local children celebrated a grand opening ribbon cutting for the Santa Shed earlier this month. The festive shed is once again located in front of the Logan County Courthouse, and children can visit Santa for free throughout the holidays to help bring the magic of the season to life. Santa Claus is live and in person at the Santa Shed during the following dates and times from Nov. 22 through Dec. 21: Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.; and special Friday evening hours Dec. 12 and 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. Also, Friday, Dec. 5, the Hometown Christmas Parade returns to downtown Bellefontaine, kicking off at 6 p.m. Free family activities run from 4 to 6 p.m. just prior to the parade. Last year, more than 60 floats lit up the downtown during the annual parade. (Downtown Bellefontaine PHOTOS)
