Rev. Angles sworn in as new Russells Point PD chaplain

The Rev. Joseph Angles was recently administered the oath of office for his new role as the chaplain for the Russells Point Police Department. He is a pastor of the Russells Point Church of God, where he serves with a deep commitment to preaching, teaching, pastoral care and community outreach. He is an ordained minister with the Church of God in Anderson, Ind. The Rev. Angles holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Wright State University and a master’s degree in Christian counseling from Logos Christian College and Graduate School. He is also a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio and certified in Critical Incident Stress Management. Most recently, he completed the Foundations of First Responder Chaplaincy Course conducted by Heroic Deeds Chaplain, further equipping him to serve first responders and their families. Alongside his pastoral work, Rev. Angles has dedicated his career to serving children, families, and individuals through various leadership and counseling roles in social services, schools and residential treatment settings. “With decades of experience in ministry and social work, he brings both professional expertise and a pastor’s heart to every setting where he serves,” Russells Point Police Chief Joe Freyhof said.
