A Kenton man escaped injury in a one-vehicle rollover crash that occurred about 8:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, on County Road 29 near County Road 55.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Mitchell Hommel, 43, was driving a 2018 Honda Accord westbound on C.R. 29 when the car went off the right side of the road while negotiating a curve and struck a utility pole and a fence. After striking the pole, the driver overcorrected and the car re-entered the roadway before traveling off the left side of the road and overturning.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for failure to control.
Damage to the car was heavy, and it was towed from the scene.
Logan County Electric Cooperative crews responded to the scene to repair the pole.
