SUBMITTED BY THE Logan County BOARD OF DD
Celebrated in October, National Disability Employment Awareness Month serves as a reminder of the ongoing effort to ensure that individuals with disabilities are afforded access to rewarding job opportunities all year-round.
This week, the Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities is recognizing Bobby, who has found a job he truly enjoys at Lowe’s.
For more than seven years, Bobby has served as a custodial worker and cart collector.
He loves helping people and being part of the team, and his dedication has not gone unnoticed.
Bobby currently works three days per week and looks forward to the day he can return to a full five-day schedule.

Over the years, Lowe’s has been a supportive employer, providing an environment where Bobby can succeed and grow. Working at Lowe’s has given him a sense of purpose, improved his mental health, and strengthened both his financial independence and social connections.
More than just a paycheck, Bobby values the structure, social engagement and sense of belonging that his job provides.
The hard-working young man has built strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike and enjoys joking around with his team, boosting morale and making the workplace a friendlier place for everyone.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month recognizes the contributions of workers with disabilities and showcases inclusive workplaces in our community.
