A driver and three passengers in the car he was driving sustained possible minor injuries in an early Sunday, Oct. 19, crash at U.S. Route 33 and State Route 117.
Elvis Varian, 50, of Huntsville, was driving a 2008 Honda Civic about 1:30 a.m. when it entered U.S. 33 westbound from S.R. 117, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report. The car then continued north across the eastbound lanes, a divider and the westbound lanes and struck an embankment off the north side of the highway.
Varian, who was wearing a seat belt, was not transported for his injuries.
Passengers in the car, Tuff Kline, 29, of Bellefontaine; Jarryd Blackburn, 28, of Ada; and Tristan Varian, 27, of Dola, were all transported by private vehicle to Mary Rutan Hospital. Klein was reportedly wearing a seat belt, while the other passengers were not.
The driver was cited for failure to maintain control.
Dad’s Towing removed the disabled vehicle from the scene.
