Brad L. Francis, 29, of Bellefontaine, was transported by Macochee EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected serious injuries sustained in a crash Sunday evening, April 27.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a southbound 2021 KTM motorcycle along south Main Street in Bellefontaine about 6:25 p.m.
His motorcycle reportedly struck the rear of a southbound 2011 Honda Odyssey operated by Dale E. Schutte, 63, of Sidney, that had stopped to turn into Steve Austin’s Auto Group, 2500 S. U.S. 68, Bellefontaine.
Schutte did not report any injuries and was wearing his seat belt.
Francis was wearing a helmet, deputies said. He was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Damage was moderate to the motorcycle and light to the minivan.
