A Lima woman was taken to an area hospital Tuesday night after crashing a motorcycle on State Route 235.
Brittany Schimmoeller, 35, was operating a southbound 2005 Harley Davidson about 9:30 p.m. on S.R. 235 near Township Road 240 when it failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Schimmoeller, who was thrown from the bike, sustained serious injuries and was taken by Indian Lake EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was not wearing a helmet, according to crash reports.
Damage to the vehicle was disabling and it was towed from the scene.
