A homeless man is facing several charges after he was arrested for an outstanding warrant Wednesday, June 4.
According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, officers observed Damon C. Lensman, 48, at large, on foot in the east/west alley in the 300 block of N. Main St. at about 8:09 p.m Wednesday.
Police were aware that Lensman had an outstanding warrant for theft from the Bellefontaine Municipal Court and detained him at that time.
A search of Lensman’s person revealed that he was in possession of two rocks of suspected crack cocaine, a small baggie of marijuana and a crack pipe. A field test of the rocks was conducted and was positive for cocaine.
Lensman was arrested on the warrant for theft from the Bellefontaine Municipal Court and he was also charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Logan County Jail without further incident.
