Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident around 8 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at a Williams Drive, Lakeview, residence.
While en route to the scene, deputies observed a man walking with his hands in the air near Pine and State streets.
The man, Lakeview resident Jonathon Morrison, was arrested for domestic violence involving a female victim.
The victim told deputies Morrison “started getting out of control” at a neighbor’s residence.
Morrison reportedly slammed a car on the victim’s ankle, which deputies observed had swelling and red marks.
The victim said he later threatened to kill her and charged at her. The victim then said she threw a plant pot with a cactus at Morrison.
The suspect reportedly admitted to slamming the car door on the victim’s ankle, but said “not really” when asked if either party had threatened the other. He also told deputies that he and victim had been drinking.
The suspect was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
