Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report that an employee of Lowe’s, 2168 U.S. Route 68 S., was arrested Monday, Nov. 4, after she allegedly stole a number of items from the store over the past several weeks.

Employees of Lowe’s contacted officers after Breanne M. Harrington, 26, of Bellefontaine was reportedly captured on the store’s surveillance video stealing items totaling $2,440.50 in the four weeks prior to police being contacted.

Officers said that they interviewed Harrington, at which time she said that the stolen merchandise was at her home, this before giving police consent to search her residence. All of the items reported stolen were recovered from her home and returned to the store.

Harrington was then arrested and charged with theft, a fourth-degree felony, before being lodged in the Logan County Jail.
