Judge Kevin P. Braig of the Logan County Common Pleas Court provided the Examiner with updates on several cases before the court during Wednesday’s, Feb. 18, docket.
The docket included an arraignment for Angela Boger, a motion for early termination of community control for Jeremy Karg, plea proceedings involving William “Tanner” LeVan, and sentencing-related matters for Austin Clem.
Boger entered a not guilty plea during her arraignment and was granted an own-recognizance bond with conditions. A jury trial in the case is scheduled for Aug. 10–11, 2026.

Boger was indicted in connection with a Sept. 12, 2025, drug investigation at 9765 Foundry St. in East Liberty. According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, detectives were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on William D. Sheets when the investigation expanded into a major drug seizure and alleged drug manufacturing operation.
Investigators reported Sheets was found seated in a minivan and was observed attempting to conceal suspected contraband. A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected crystal methamphetamine, an unidentified white powder, drug paraphernalia and multiple cell phones. Additional suspected drugs and paraphernalia were reportedly found in a passenger’s purse.
Boger, identified as the homeowner and Sheets’ live-in girlfriend, later consented to a search of the residence. Detectives reported observing suspected drugs and drug-manufacturing materials in plain view, leading to the execution of a search warrant. Authorities seized suspected narcotics, paraphernalia and evidence of illegal drug manufacturing, with field testing showing a presumptive positive for cocaine.

LeVan pleaded guilty to first-degree misdemeanor assault involving a family or household member and first-degree misdemeanor child endangering. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for March 20 at 9 a.m.
LeVan was arrested following a Sunday evening, May 11, 2025, domestic incident in which his father was severely injured.
Deputies reported finding the victim face down, bloodied and unable to move his legs. He was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
Court records indicate the altercation occurred after concerns were raised that LeVan was intoxicated while caring for an infant child. Additional evidence, including home security footage, was collected during the investigation.
Clem was sentenced to three years of community control on a fifth-degree felony charge of aggravated possession of drugs. The court ordered substance abuse treatment and evaluation under supervision of the Logan County Adult Recovery Court. Clem was indicted on the charge in August 2025.
Karg, a Bellefontaine resident, was granted early termination of community control after the court confirmed he satisfied all restitution and court cost obligations related to a fourth-degree felony theft in office conviction.
Karg had originally been sentenced to five years of community control and ordered to pay $35,000 in restitution for stealing funds from a school band program over a five-year period. Court records show Karg repaid the full amount.
In granting the motion, Judge Braig noted Karg had no prior criminal history and emphasized that restitution and making the victim whole were primary considerations in the court’s decision.
