Portions of two primary local roadways are closed this morning due to icy road conditions, vehicle slide-offs, and crashes, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
State Route 117 between U.S. Route 33 and State Route 235 through Huntsville, has been shut down following a multi-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck and two other vehicles. Icy road conditions contributed to the crash, deputies report. Drivers are urged to avoid the area until further notice.
U.S. Route 68 north of County Road 133, has also been closed due to treacherous conditions.
Deputies are also handling a crash along U.S. Route 33 as hazardous conditions continue to impact travel. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and use caution while traveling in the area.
