Honda today announced a new multi-year partnership with USA Hockey, strengthening the brand’s nearly two-decade relationship with hockey that will include Honda serving as the exclusive automotive partner and official vehicle of USA Hockey, the title sponsor of the USA Hockey Sled National Championships and supporting USA Hockey during the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
Honda has been the official automotive partner of the National Hockey League (NHL®) in the United States since 2007, supporting the game of hockey and its outstanding athletes while bringing together the NHL and Honda fanbases to create truly memorable moments.
“This is an incredible opportunity for Honda to deepen our support of the home team through this new relationship with USA Hockey,” said Ed Beadle, vice president of Digital Services & Marketing, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
“Honda has been helping provide unforgettable experiences for hockey fans for nearly two decades through our NHL partnership, and we’re proud to support Team USA athletes as they pursue their dreams for gold in Milano Cortina.”
Through the new partnership, Honda will provide vehicles and support major USA Hockey events such as youth and girls’ national championships and player development camps. Additionally, Honda will have activation opportunities at various USA Hockey events each season along with visibility through USA Hockey media channels.
“We’re excited to welcome Honda to the USA Hockey family,” said Tony Driscoll, assistant executive director of USA Hockey. “Their commitment to innovation and community align with our mission to grow and enhance the game throughout the country.”
This new partnership builds on Honda support of Team USA heading into the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
During July, Honda announced the formation of a technical partnership with USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS), leveraging the advanced engineering expertise of Honda R&D engineers and the capabilities of the company’s HALO aeroacoustic wind tunnel (Honda Automotive Laboratories of Ohio) located in East Liberty, as previously detailed in the Examiner.
Additionally, the relationship with USABS extends to the Acura brand, which serves as the official automotive partner.
Looking ahead to 2028, Honda will continue to support the world’s top athletes as a founding partner of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Honda, which established its first U.S. operations in Los Angeles in June 1959, is the Official Automotive Partner of Team USA, supporting the United States Olympic and Paralympic teams during the LA28 Games.
As part of this commitment, the company will provide a wide range of Honda and Acura mobility products for use throughout the Games, with a focus on electrified vehicles such as the upcoming Honda 0 Series and Acura RSX.
